Lori’s phenomenal customer service and constant communication were exactly what I needed. I think I was more nervous moving Fanny than one of my kids! I was a Realtor trying to find transport for my client from Southern California to Northern California. I felt comfortable enough after talking to Lori to recommend her to my client. Boy, I couldn’t have made a better choice! Clean rig—I mean CLEAN! (Actually jealous of her rig!) And hay for the horses too! Wow! Lori was so patient with horses that weren’t as impressed with her trailer as I was. They all arrived safe and sound at their destination.

I couldn’t recommend Lori more! I have personally hauled horses all over California, and I am very uncomfortable even thinking about someone else hauling my horses. But I would put my horses on Lori’s trailer and not worry one bit.

I was lucky enough to have found Lori through a trainer at my barn in Los Angeles, who needed two of her horses transported to Oregon. When she told me about Lori’s immaculate rig, on-time service, and fair pricing, I stopped shopping for my upcoming transportation needs.

Lori transported my 20-year-old mare from Los Angeles to our new home in Las Vegas. She shipped her in an immaculate box stall full of shavings. Lori was on time for pickup in Los Angeles, stopped halfway through the trip to check on my mare, and delivered her to Las Vegas almost to the minute she said she would.

Lori’s price was the same as the large, long-haul transport companies that can’t give you an exact pickup date or provide point-to-point service. I don’t know why anyone would choose one of those big haulers when you and your horse can receive personalized service at a very fair price.

I would highly recommend Lori to anyone who needs to transport their horse.

In June 2009, my horse, Sweet Prince William, was shipped from northwestern New Mexico to his new home near Dallas, Texas, during one of the hottest summers on record. Lori Yocum, owner of The Rocking Y Ranch in Southern California, delivered my 16.3-hand, 8-year-old, off-the-track Thoroughbred in superb condition. “Will” pranced down the ramp of Lori’s trailer in excellent condition. Lori had stopped every hour to tend to the horses on board by spraying them with cool water, making sure the horses had plenty of drinking water available, and checking them for heat exhaustion.

You see, Lori is not only a hauler of horses, but a horseperson herself. She knows horses and cares for their well-being and comfort. I have spread the word to my hunter jumper / cross country / fox hunting friends here in North Texas about The Rocking Y Ranch and its owner, Lori Yocum, who is the best, most caring, and knowledgeable horseperson in the business.

On time, all the time! Could not be more pleased.

Lori handled our 5 “Prima Donna” horses in a kind and professional manner. It was a 1,700-mile trip, door to door, and Lori called us each evening to report on the status of our “kids” and let us know that they were traveling well. We have one horse that does not load easily, and Lori handled him superbly.
